Gugulipid®
Plus Hawthorn Complex A very comprehensive formula
to support healthy heart function and circulation, and support
proper levels of serum lipids. Gugulipid®
(2.5% Guggulsterones Z&E) is particularly useful for
the maintenance of healthy serum lipid and cholesterol levels.
The formula also provides traditional heart-supporting herbs
such as Inula racemosa (2% Allantolactone) and Terminalia
arjuna (1% Arjunolic Acid) extracts from India , Hawthorn
berry extract and Garlic powder. The essential heart-healthy
nutrients CoQ10 and Magnesium are included, as well as bio-availability
enhancement from Ginger extract and Bioperine®
black pepper fruit extract.

Gugulipid® (Commiphora mukul extract)
Gugulipid®
is a standardized extract for Guggulsterones Z & E used
for healthy cholesterol maintenance. It is extracted from
the sap of the tree Commiphora mukul, which is found in
the rough and warm lands of India. In multicentric studies
performed on over 300 overweight patients, Gugulipid effectively
supported healthy levels of cholesterol, total serum lipids,
triglycerides, beta-lipoproteins and HDL levels1.
In addition, Gugulipid may also generate energy by increasing
metabolic processes.

Inula Racemosa Extract
Inula Racemosa extract
is a powdered extract from the root of the plant Inula racemosa.
It has been reported to support healthy blood sugar and
cholesterol levels. It is therefore used as a cardioprotectant.
The root has also been used in the support of healthy circulation1.
In a clinical study, individuals who were administered a
mixture of Inula racemosa root powder and Gugulipid®
granules (1:1) for six months saw significant improvement
in physical condition as well as healthy serum cholesterol
levels2.

Terminalia Arjuna Extract
The bark of Terminalia
arjuna, a tropical woody tree, has been used in traditional
practice in the support of cardiovascular health. In a clinical
evaluation, individuals who received the extract of the
bark reported improved general health and revitalized blood
circulation1,2.

CoQ10
Coenzyme Q10 is a vital
component of the biochemical system our body uses to produce
energy, and low levels can lead to below-optimal health.
Double-blind studies on individuals receiving coenzyme Q10
showed significant positive changes1. People
who take CoQ10 may also benefit due to the antioxidant effects
of CoQ10.

Hawthorn extract
The leaves and flowers
of hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha) contain concentrated
amounts of antioxidant phytonutrients, especially the oligomeric
procyanidins. Hawthorn and its active flavonoid compounds
make the heart a more efficient pump, partly by increasing
blood supply to the heart muscle and partly by increasing
the output of blood from the heart while decreasing the
resistance of blood vessels in the body to the normal flow
of blood. The result is support of a healthy heart and an
efficient flow of blood throughout the body1,2.

Ginger extract
Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
has been used to support healthy digestion. Impaired digestion
often hampers mental performance on account of the accompanying
discomfort and sluggish metabolism. Contemporary usage has
shown ginger to be effective in improving digestive functions1.
The extract is standardized for 5% gingerols, the active
constituents which enhance digestion and metabolism.

Magnesium Citrate
Magnesium is an essential
mineral element which participates in several metabolic
processes in the body. Recent research revealed that magnesium
deficiency may be associated with risks to cardiovascular
health. One group of researchers found a reverse correlation
between the severity of magnesium deficiency and the level
of cardiovascular health1.

Garlic Powder
The ability of garlic
to help promote healthy levels of cholesterol, triglycerides,
LDL, HDL, platelet adhesiveness and fibrinolytic activity
combine to render this healthful herb the potential capability
to significantly support a heart-healthy lifestyle1.
Garlic has also been shown to support healthy blood pressure
levels, a property which is attributed to the relaxing effect
of the active components on the blood vessels2.

Bioperine®
Bioperine®
is a standardized extract obtained from black pepper, containing
not less than 95% piperine. The product is a natural bioavailability
enhancer for nutrients and is proven to improve the uptake
and utilization of several nutritional supplements, including
vitamins, antioxidants and minerals1.2.
